Daniel Joy

Daniel has many years experience working in academics and industry. He combined his passion for science and high performance computing as the Life Sciences Market Segment Manager for both HP and Sun Microsystems. He also worked at Microsoft through the launch of Windows HPC Server. In the 1990's, Daniel led his first start-up company. That company created the worlds fastest genome fragment assembly program and sold it to pharmaceutical companies world-wide. As with most self-funded young companies, Daniel's responsibilities are broad. He is Rimini's lead web designer/developer, business person, and many other things as the company grows.
John Sherwin
Partner
John has more than 15 years experience as an IT professional working with clients in the telecommunication and entertainment industries in the US and Europe. He was a technical and business process consultant with Accenture, a solutions architect in Accenture's Seattle Mobile Commerce Lab and lead data warehouse developer with Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division. He has extensive experience executing and managing projects of all sizes and has remotely managed teams in China and India. As with Dan, John wears many hats including business solution architect (and developer!), Rimini Software's internal IT director (and network admin!), business person and one of the principle client engagement partners.
John lives in a log cabin in Issaquah, WA (Seattle Eastside) located in the beautiful Cascade foothills with his fiance, their 2 cats, 2 dogs and horse. He enjoys mountaineering, cross and back country skiing, sea kayaking, trail running, gardening, movies, music, brewing beer and spending time at home tinkering. John has a passion for science (he majored in Physics) and is a licensed massage therapist and practices treatment massage at Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle.
