When budgeting for a web site, it is important to set your expectations on what it really costs in money and time. Professional web sites do not cost $300. A PDG eCommerce project will take one to two months depending on how much work has been done on the content, product descriptions, policies, layout of the site, Quickbooks setup, and more.
In our experience, a fairly simple PDG web site will cost $5,000 plus the cost of the PDG license, hosting, SSL certificate, moving the domain, and other fees. See our “What goes into a web site” article for information on what’s included. The cost of a web site can go over $20,000 if you add in many features. A typical PDG site will cost between $5,000 and $15,000.
If you want custom work done, that is billed at our hourly rate of $75. We will give you an estimate of the hours it should take and will inform you if there is a chance we will go over (we rarely do). It is very important that our customers think through what they want before we agree to a project. Changing the scope of a project after it has started will increase the cost.
