Streamlined Sales and Use Tax
Streamlined Sales and Use Tax laws basically mean that merchants will need to charge sales tax at the rate of the ship-to address. Merchants will need to adopt a system for calculating this rate.
Rimini Software developed a system and integrated it with an e-commerce site for determining the appropriate tax rate. This system is deployed at the Kayak Academy's web site.
The system works with PDG Software's Commerce package. We are in the process of expanding its use to other e-commerce packages.

Calendar and Scheduling System
When one of our clients approached us to come up with a scheduling system that would be integrated with their web site and with Quickbooks POS, our first thought was to buy something off the shelf. Nothing we found was flexible enough for our client's needs.
So we started thinking - what if there was a system that was flexible enough to schedule just about anything with anything else? We came up with the concept of "entities" that could be assigned traits such as ownership, permission levels, capacity, availability, setup time, or just about any type of trait.
This system could be used to manage a Spa's resources, a company's conference rooms, a hospital's surgery rooms, hotel, a rental agency, or just about anything. It can be accessed through a web browser, notifications sent to calendaring systems or e-mail, viewable on a company's web site, and integrated into a POS system.
